Robert Louis Drake was born in Port Washington, New York to William Robert Drake and Madeline Beatrice Bass Drake. He currently resides in New York and works as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm.

Every Bit A Virgo

When annoyed by vulgarity, stupidity or carelessness, Bobby can suddenly become cranky, irritable, and even scolding. Most of the time though, he is nice, polite, and easy to converse with. Whenever someone is in a jam, he'll quickly step in to turn things right side up again with no motive except to serve. If a job has someone so bogged down in boring details and they despair meeting the deadline, he will roll up his sleeves and pitch in willingly. It's not ego that makes him itch to take over when things are in shambles. It's just that his orderly Mercurial mind can't stand procrastination, neglected details or confusion of purpose. Bringing order out of chaos is instinctive with him.

He has an apparent blindness to his faults. It is as if he is unable to see his own weakness in as clear a light as he sees everything else. The truth is, he does see them and he sees them in such infinite detail that he can't bear to hear them generalized. Try to tell him that he's critical, a worrier, fussy, neat or unusually concerned with diet and health, and he will flat out deny it.

As willing and as capable as he is to be unfailingly generous; lavishing affection or attention on people and spending money on them, he has an almost neurotic and intense dislike of accepting favors himself. He does not want to be obligated to anyone for any reason and does not want to depend on anyone but himself for anything.

Bobby gives freely of his time and energy, but he won't go beyond the point of reasonableness. When demands become excessive, he will balk and make his objections quite clear.

He gives the impression of being in firm control of his emotions at all times, but it is often enough, simply a disguise. He is sensitive, receptive, sensuous and cautious all at the same time. He does not find it easy to express his own deep feelings and is often drawn to women who are effusive and vivacious. Emotionality upsets him, but because he is both attracted to and disturbed by it, his love life never runs as smoothly as he'd like. He lives almost entirely on a practical, material level, and has little use for abstractions of storybook romances. The kind of love which displays itself in dramatic emotions, sentimental promises, tearful declarations and mushy affection, not only leaves him cold, it frightens him. He seeks quality rather than quantity in romance.

He guards his private life and dislikes it when people probe too closely into his personal affairs. He dresses neatly, speaks with gentle diction, is as clean as a bar of Ivory soap and has a desk that's so tidy, it looks positively naked! Even when it's slightly cluttered (happens on rare occasions), his mind never is. He knows the exact order of the apparent disorder, and just where to put his finger on whatever he wants. His desk may look like a heap of trash, but he knows the whereabouts of every postage stamp and paper clip.

ICEMAN

Iceman is an Omega-level mutant. He can survive not only as sentient ice but as sentient water and vapor, and has the capacity to manipulate all forms of moisture. His powers first manifested at the age of 14. He is able to lower his body temperature without causing harm to himself, reaching minus 105°F within a few tenths of a second. He is able to freeze any moisture in the air around him into unusually hard ice to form ice-slides and various projectiles and shields. He can travel rapidly along these ice-slides or ice-bridges by causing ice to form rapidly beneath and behind his feet, pushing him along the slick surface. He is able to fashion an armor of solid ice strong enough to stop bullets. He is also able to summon moisture from the air and create a flood. Iceman is immune to sub-zero temperatures and has thermal vision: the ability to detect objects visually by how much heat the objects generate. Iceman does not actually emanate cold, but rather absorbs and dispels heat. Since heat is a form of energy, Iceman's power can be defined as a psionic ability to manipulate thermal energy.

He has the ability to not only cover his body with ice, but to actually become organic ice. Though the appearance is similar, Iceman is actually translucent in his ice form. Iceman is virtually indestructible in this form: he can reform his shattered body, and even if the rest of his body is completely destroyed, his head can form a new body from frozen liquids. In this form he will be able to use the moisture in the air to form spikes, shields and other extra appendages to his body. If this icy form is shattered, he can rebuild himself through the same process. All he needs is a surrounding body of water sufficient for his needs.

Most recently Iceman has learned to use surrounding moisture to augment himself, and to function as frozen water. This allows him to travel within large bodies of the substance almost instantly. It is accomplished by breaking himself down to his most base levels and reforming at the destination. He's also able to convert his body to gigantic proportions through absorption of a lake or a pond. Wherever there is water, Iceman is a threat.

Like that of any trained athlete, the Iceman's ability to perform is directly related to his daily physical health and current mental state. Under normal conditions, he can usually form ice continually for a period of about 3 hours before becoming exhausted.
